Land Your Dream Aviation Career

AeronauticalFor many, the thought of becoming a pilot is a dream aviation career. Soaring above the clouds, seeing amazing new sights, and experiencing the rush of take-off is an incredible feeling. Those looking for an aviation career as a pilot must be aware that it takes years of training and dedication.

The ATP offers some of the best flight training programs in the country. With locations throughout the United States, including Portland, Oregon, Richmond, Virginia, Atlanta, Georgia, Phoenix, Arizona, Long Beach, California, and Orlando, Florida, students shouldn't have to travel too far to attend an aviation career pilot training program.

ATP's aviation career program for commercial pilots requires around 200 hours of flight time. Students begin their aviation career training and learning about flying a multi-engine craft. This portion of the course takes a little more than one week. The next portion covers the instrument panel and leads into training a crew, making cross-country flights in your aviation career. This covers the first month of training.

The next month is spent learning how to fly commercial planes, including both single and multi-engine craft. Students learn how to read the instrument panels and pre-flight checklist practices. This portion of the aviation career course takes a little more than two weeks. The final week covers flight management systems, emergency situations, performance, instrumentation and another twenty hours of flight time with professionals.
