Choosing the right aviation colleges can be hard, but finding them in your area can be even more difficult. There are many aviation colleges throughout the United States, but only a small percentage of these aviation colleges are located in the east and a smaller percentage are right in New England. Despite what you may think, there are excellent aviation colleges located in New England, you just have to pay attention.
Daniel Webster College is well known as one of the country's most esteemed aviation colleges. Located in Nashua, New Hampshire, the college has a rural setting with a nice air strip that is not too far from the quaint city of Portsmouth and the ocean. For aviation colleges, Daniel Webster College is an amazing school offering degrees in Air Traffic Management, Aviation Flight Operations, Aviation Management, and Aviation Operations. A full year's tuition to Daniel Webster College costs $35,000 with room and board or $26,000 without the room and board.
Other aviation colleges include Bridgewater State in Connecticut. Connecticut residents wanting room and board will pay $13,400 per year and those without pay a mere $6,000 per year. Out-of-stater's pay $7,000 without room and board and for those needing room and board an additional $8,000 is added to the tuition cost. Still, $15,000 a year for a college program with room and board isn't bad. Bridgewater State offers Aviation Science degrees that focus on flight training or aviation management.
Northshore Community College has a few different aviation colleges locations outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Among the most affordable aviation colleges in New England, Northshore Community College offers a two-year Aviation Management degree or a two-year flight training degree. Massachusetts residents pay $121 per credit hour. Students from other states in New England pay $133.50 per credit hour, and other states pay $353 per credit hour. Most of this aviation colleges programs require 60 credit hours.
